By admin | June 20, 2011

If you are trying to get pregnant with fibroids and think that it could be this which is holding back your dream of becoming a mom, I want to share something with you.  I have a number of ladies to whom I write to regularly about fibroid-related matters (if you want to join them, fill in the form on the home page of my site to get my updates) and I shared a letter with them which I had received from one such lady.

The email is below…

Trying to get pregnant with fibroids? Then read on….

I apologize in advance for going back to the same topic as my last email, but as you may recall, I spoke about fibroids and pregnancy and this prompted Joanne to contact me.  Joanne had first been in touch with me a couple of years ago as she was having problems conceiving.  She felt it was due to her fibroids.

I’ll start off by saying that I am always very wary of recommending new products and only do so when it’s something I would use myself, should I have the need. That’s why, when I received an email from Joanne who was trying to get pregnant with fibroids and felt it right to share the contents. But first some background info!

It’s so true that fibroids can cause problems for those trying to get pregnant but of course they are not the only reason why you might not be able to conceive. Sometimes there are other underlying causes and getting to the bottom of it can be really difficult.

For some time now, I have quietly recommended a book called Pregnancy Miracle on my website. It sits tucked away on one of the pages. The writer, Lisa Olson, is well-respected in the pregnancy field and sometimes I have mentioned the book on a one to one basis when appropriate, as she specifically mentions help for women trying to get pregnant with fibroids.  In Joanne’s case, I recommended it a few months ago when, at the time, she was trying to decide whether or not to have conventional treatment for her fibroids.

Joanne is in her mid-thirties and had been trying for a family for over 2 years. She first wrote to me after being diagnosed to say she had fibroids and was trying to get pregnant and was afraid that her dream of becoming a mom would never materialize.  Along with fibroids, she’d always had what she called “women’s problems” with a history of very irregular periods. She and her husband had both been for tests but these had been inconclusive. Her doctor acknowledged that her fibroids could have been a contributory factor, but did not feel they were so much of a problem to prevent her becoming pregnant.

I’ve got her permission to print an extract of her email:-

“Hi Gail

I got your email yesterday and just had to let you know my news. I am finally pregnant! Mich and I found out the happy news a couple of weeks ago.

I didn’t go for the embolism in the end. I just felt it was too risky and my doc said there were no guarantees.

I did get the Pregnancy Miracle book and it really opened our eyes. We both followed the advice and after more than 2 years of trying, I conceived after 3 months.”

If you are struggling to get pregnant and have fibroids and you feel that your this might only be part of the reason why you haven’t conceived, you might be interested in having a look at Pregnancy Miracle.

I am certainly not saying it’s a “must have”, but I do feel that it could be worth checking out if you are trying to get pregnant with fibroids and are actively looking for help.
