There are a number of foods that shrink fibroids and if you are looking towards a natural solution, then your diet should play a major part.
You are probably well aware that your fibroids are unlikely to be life-threatening and I am assuming that you have had your condition checked out by your doctor. However, this does not mean that they do not threaten the quality of your everyday life! Eat healthy salads which you should aim to make as colorful as possible and if you are cooking your vegetables, just lightly cook or steam. Indeed, a good rule of thumb is to ensure that your diet is made up of around 70% raw ingredients. Drinking plenty of water is also important as it can help to keep your bowels regular as well as ensuring that your internal organs are well-hydrated.
Garlic and onions have known antioxidant properties and are known for healing. You should aim to eat these daily if possible. Turmeric and cumin are also known for their anti-inflammatory properties and can help calm the inflammation which comes with fibroids.
Fiber rich foods that shrink fibroids include peas, beans and nuts as well as cruciferous vegetables such as cabbage and kale (the darker the better). Fiber can actually help to absorb and mop up impurities in our digestive systems, acting as a kind of “brush” as it passes through.
Of course, as well as eating a diet which can reduce your fibroids, it is also important to know what to avoid. Steer clear of processed meats, such as sausages and salami, and keep dairy products down to an absolute minimum. It will probably not surprise you to learn that you will need to avoid sugary foods, saturated fats, colorings, additives, salts, alcohol and refined foods such as white carbs.
Finally, do not overload your digestive system as even too many healthy foods can cause overload, contributing to imbalances which, in turn, make fibroid growth more likely. Consider incorporating foods that shrink fibroids into an overall plan for best results.
